This restored veld cottage, situated on the seaside portion of De Mond farm, is approximately 600 metres before the entrance gate to Cape Nature's unspoilt De Mond Nature Reserve - a must for the nature lover interested in coastal fynbos, birds, hiking, photography and fishing. The cottage includes a fully equipped kitchen, has a braai and indoor fireplace, and is very comfortable for 4 people with two bedrooms and two bathrooms and can accommodate a further 2 with a sleeper couch or camp beds.

Arniston/Waenhuiskrans is renowned for its huge waterside cave (well worth a visit at low tide), quaint fisherman's cottages (an artist's delight) and azure blue seas in which to fish and swim.
The Agulhas Wine Triangle is a cool climate region with a number of vineyards within an hour’s drive of the cottage.

How many people can the cottage sleep?
The cottage can comfortably sleep four in two bedrooms and can accommodate a further 2 with a sleeper couch or camp beds
Is there access to Cape Nature's De Mond Nature Reserve?
There is no direct access to the nature reserve, however the cottage is a short walk from the entrance to the reserve where the normal entrance fee is paid (approximately R 50.00 for adults and R 30.00 for children)
Is firewood provided?
A small amount of firewood is supplied on arrival, additional can be supplied at a nominal charge
What are the kitchen facilities?
The kitchen is fully equipped, including stove, fridge/freezer and microwave
What are the check-in/check-out times?
Check-in is from 2pm and check-out by 10am unless otherwise arranged
Are pets allowed?
We regret no pets are allowed
Is there Wi-Fi and mobile reception?
There is no Wi-Fi and mobile signal can be patchy at the cottage, but the hill behind the cottage by the pool is normally a good spot
